At We Conquer, we provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment for women recently released from incarceration. Our mission is to equip returning citizens with the tools and support they need to reintegrate into society, prevent recidivism, and build a brighter future.

Through our Halfway Housing Program, we offer substance abuse treatment, job training, mental health support, and more—ensuring every woman has the chance to heal, grow, and thrive.

Our Mission

At We Conquer, our mission is clear: to provide returning citizens with the necessary tools and assistance to successfully reintegrate back into society and prevent recidivism. We believe that every individual deserves a second chance, and we are dedicated to creating a supportive environment that fosters healing, growth, and empowerment.

Through our Halfway Housing Program, we offer substance abuse treatment, job training, mental health support, and more—ensuring every woman has the chance to heal, grow, and thrive.

Organization History

We Conquer is more than just a halfway house; we are a re-entry organization committed to serving women who have recently been incarcerated. Our founder, Kadeezia Small, has firsthand experience as a Re-entry Case Manager at TASC – Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities. She witnessed the struggles faced by women upon their release, often returning to environments that contributed to their previous incarceration.

Our organization aims to break this cycle by providing a drug and alcohol-free living environment, individual and group therapy, substance abuse treatment referrals, and mental health support. We partner with various organizations throughout Illinois to offer job training, GED assistance, and more, ensuring that our clients have the resources they need to thrive.

Through our Halfway Housing Program, we offer substance abuse treatment, job training, mental health support, and more—ensuring every woman has the chance to heal, grow, and thrive.

Why We Need This

Did you know that more than 40% of individuals released from prison will re-offend within their first year? This alarming statistic highlights the urgent need for effective re-entry programs. The community suffers when individuals are released without the necessary resources to remain free, and families are often torn apart as a result.

At We Conquer, we understand that leaving prison should signify a fresh start. However, many returning citizens face overwhelming challenges, including a lack of stable housing, financial resources, and support systems. Our organization is dedicated to providing the rehabilitative services needed to help these individuals build a better life.

Through our Halfway Housing Program, we offer substance abuse treatment, job training, mental health support, and more—ensuring every woman has the chance to heal, grow, and thrive.

The United States faces a significant challenge with recidivism, as approximately two-thirds of individuals with a criminal conviction are re-arrested within three years of their release. Our project aims to combat this issue by offering a supportive, drug and alcohol-free environment where women can heal and grow.
